Each and every light piece they make tells the story of the people behind the creation. Located in both Seattle and Amsterdam, this company approaches design in an innovative and personal way. Each fixture holds the depth of the people behind it. As they also say, “Dream big, Scribble often. Make thoughtfully.” They do just that by not only shedding light on the people that make our world what it is, but by literally giving us products that light up our homes.

Graypants uses responsible design, materials and production all while having fun doing it. The Seattle location houses custom prototyping and Amsterdam became the hub for local European production and distribution. They have partnerships with social work programs to provide craft-based work where it’s most needed. They use corrugated cardboard, handmade with non-toxic adhesives and treated with no toxic fire-retardant. They focus on good design and creating livelihoods that produce useful products while keeping people at the heart of all they do.
