Veja uses recycled materials, wild rubber and organic cotton to create a shoe that makes a statement both on your feet and the steps they’re taking to make a lasting impact for good. Their goals is to mix social projects, ecological materials, and design with creating sneakers. As the cofounders, Sébastien Kopp and François Morillion said: “We just tried to create the company in which we would have dreamed of being employed."
This certified B Corp, with a large following, using organic cotton and recycle poly/plastic in some of their products is Fair Trade, Transparent and intentional about their chemical footprint. They work with Atellers Sans Frontières, a job reintegration workshop. Each year this non-profits helps about a hundred vulnerable individuals to find a job and social stability. They use Organic cotton and Amazonian rubber directly from the producer associations based in Brazil and Peru. They also use innovative materials like recycled plastic bottles to make their mesh.
