Pela Cases

Pela saw the problem with our phone cases and did something about it. One and a half billion phone cases are thrown away each year. As Pela so wisely states on their website, while we can’t change the plastic that’s already in use, we can make a difference with how we continue using our resources. Pela created the first ever compostable phone case. Their products not only house your phone in style, they allow us to leave the planet in a better way than we found it.

Pela’s innovative cases and other products are made from a flax shive and a plant-based biopolymer that created the base for their compostable case. They are certified carbon neutral and have reduction plan goals to streamline transportation by setting up distribution in Canada and Europe. Their Pela 360 Program works to reduce waste, shift manufacturing to renewal energy and help them become carbon positive. Their products are free of lead, cadmium, BPA and phthalates. Pela is a part of 1% for the Planet to continue supporting organizations working toward the same mission. In addition to being 100% compostable in their products, this B Corp creates 30% less carbon emissions, uses 34% less water and 80% less waste production in their process. They donate a percentage of their profits to Ocean Clean Up and Preservations Initiatives. They’re not messing around and we are so grateful for companies who work so passionately to promote change.
