After sourcing these items that have been put up for sale by the previous owner, Artek refurbishes and resells original Artek legacy furniture to continue using less material while still providing the highest quality product.

Artek builds their furniture using trees that are 50-80 years old, knowing that their furniture needs to last at least as long as it took the tree to grow. All of their materials are locally sourced and formed into pieces from designs that are inherited by one generation from another. They pride themselves on knowing how their products are made, where the raw materials are sourced and their ethical and environmental impacts. They comply to the European safety standards using the rigorous standards for both their Finland based factory and their carefully selected partners. The a-factory in Finland holds both ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications. All of their wood-based materials are FSC and/or PEFC certified
