Archivist Studio
Do you even lie awake when you’re in a hotel and wonder where the sheets end up after they’re done using them? The creators of Archivist Studio did just that. After snuggling up in a luxury London hotel, it dawned on them how many linens were ending up in landfills when they revealed the slightest bit of wear. Since then, Archivist Studio started partnering with that same hotel they stayed in, along with many others since they began, creating up-cycled men’s and women’s shirts made from 100% Egyptian cotton sourced from these luxury hotel linens. Once they found out about 10 million kilos of linens end up in the landfills yearly, they knew their company needed to happen.
Archivist Studio started out with 200 kilos of Egyptian cotton from different hotels and have grown since. After applying their high standards and quality check, the linens are professionally cleaned. Once they’ve gone through this process, the textiles are cut and sewn into the gorgeous shirts they currently sell. As more hotels join, they are expanding their collection to continue up-cycling these linens to keep them from the land fill and put a shirt on your back.
