Karst Stone Paper

Karst Stone Paper knows the future is in our hands. Their method: “Challenge assumptions at every stage.” Their goal: “Leave the world better than we found it.” A good journal gives us space to release our thoughts and dream big. But, when that journal takes resources the planet needs to regenerate, we find ourselves in a space where we want to make choices that move us forward in a positive way. Karst Stone Paper makes journals, planners, and notepads of all kinds in a way our imagination can prosper alongside our planet, as opposed to against it.

Karst Stone Paper’s materials are responsibly sourced. They treat and pay their employees fairly while their employees are empowered to work for a greater cause, not just profit. All of their paper is 100% tree-free made by mixing calcium carbonate powder with a high quality, non-toxic, non-virgin resin. The calcium carbonate powder is repurposed construction waste, 80% limestone powder and 20% bio-polyethylene resin (HDPE). Using heat and pressure, after many rotations through their rollers, the material is thinned to use as paper. No chorine, acid, water, or trees are used. They also plant a tree for every notebook sold creating a 67% smaller carbon footprint. Their paper is fully recyclable and 9-12 months in nature will start to decompose it as it’s photodegradable. HDPE is very recyclable. You can also send your product back to Karst for them to recycle it into new products.
