Ege Carpets uses an Eco trust recycled water bottle backing, econyl yarn, and recycled fishing nets. They Endorse the UN Compact consisting of 10 principles: human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption. Their road, rail, and air transport are carbon neutral and they look to increase biofuel to 100% by 2025. They also have established a carpet sellback program to reduce waste. They recirculate dye to reuse 82% of it, clean and reuse water, and recycle thickening solution. They have a heat recovery and recirculation program sending heat to local homes as well as repurposed heated water from machinery for cleaning, reducing water usage and CO2. They’re impacting more than the ground we walk on and we’re all about it.
